i am rather new to rc and very new on electric. i bought a losi mini t and drove it with regular aa batteries. i needed more speed so i bought a 7.2 pack to put in it. on the second charge i was driving pretty hard and it quit. i picked it up and the motor was very hot and stuck. once i got it to free up it wouldnt work right. you have to hold the trigger now and give it a nudge to get it to work every time you want to take off in either direction. this truck doesn't even have two hours on it. any suggestions as to whats wrong and a cheap replacement would be appreciated:angry:

I would call Losi and tell them what happend. I don't have a really good answer to what happend.

Call Losi, their customer support will take care of you. Chances are they'll ship you a new motor, if that is the problem, free of charge. They're top notch.

Worse case go with an aftermarket motor like the mini terminator or mini machine.

I have not done r/c in a long time, let alone electric. But perhaps your Pinion and Spur gear are too tightly meshed together.

Since it is so new, i would call Losi tech support as Hyster suggested before you start toying with it. Don't want to go voiding any possible warranties.

I think the motor might have stopped as you put too much power through.

I don't think running the thing hard would make the pinion and spur mesh too tight. Just to be sure, take the motor out and rev it gently. If you floor it you could over rev the motor because it's unladen.

Don't have any ideas for replacements, but while you have the motor out you might as well upgrade it to brushless.
