So i just bought my first nitro r/c, its the tmaxx 3.3 and i figured i would get a brand new one instead of shopping for a used one to prevent problems i might have with it... well i have been messing with this thing for hours and i cannot get it to start with the ez. so i did some reading about a glow plug ignitor and the difference that makes, but is there anything i can substitute for an ignitor? or any advice on how to start this bad boy.
appreciate any help
Dustin

I don't quite understand what your problem is here.
Is you battery fully charged and are the wires hooked up?
How about the glow plug? Hook it to the blue wire and touch it to the side of the engine for a ground, did it light?
Did you try warming the engine with a hairdryer?
Have you messed with the needles?
Did you read the manual?

I would tie the blue wire with a ziptie and the buy an ignighter works a hell of a lot better then the blue wire expecialy for break in. you will probably find even after break in it is easyer to start .
pay close attention to link that says heat cycleing and tubeing chart very helpfull

check out the sticky at the very top of the nitro section "so your new to the hobby"

read it all. pay extra attention to the part that says heat cycleing.

check you glow plug, to see if it's working, also even though it's new check your yellow ground wire. it should be connected to a motor mount screw, make sure it's tight and has a good connection. when i got my maxx, i used the easy start for about 2 months, than got rid of the blue and yellow wires and went with an ignitor . i still use my easy start for turning over the engine. can you see fuel in the line going from the tank to the carb?

Look on YouTube and search videos about Tmaxx 3.3 and it will give you a visual on how to start your Tmaxx. Sometime people need to see how to perform something prior to doing it because they're visual learners. Also ditch your blue wire for an ignitor and you'll never look back. Hope this helps Steve.

+1 on the ignitor, it'll start easier and also save the juice in the wand for turning over the engine
