Sweet! 😎 That thing gonna fly w/5687 in there! I see folks going even bigger and I have to ask myself why? To each their own of course, but I have seen the difference from 4985>5687 in an Arrma 8s and it's quite healthy. A lightweight TRX should be ballistic w/5687 or 5690.
I'm about ready to go 1.5 mod in my stock powered Xmaxx, tired of replacing mod 1 gears in it, LOL. I have a Firma 1250kv 4985 that needs a home, has an 8mm shaft.. all I need is a MM and the 1.5 gears..

Edit, I just re-read, YOU are going bigger! LOL! Man, I want to see some video of that thing!😎🤘
Thanks man!!! Yeah, I wanted to keep it as lightweight as possible. I thought about going max6 1250kv but I wanted something more capable for whatever I throw at it. I was gonna run stock mod 1 gears but I don’t like the idea of the spur shaft bending like I’ve heard happening. I’m got mod 1.5 coming with Cush drive so it’s a little more protected and stable. Haha! I’m stoked to get it ripping! Stock electronics were okay for awhile geared 22/46 but the esc did tend to cut out when geared up for me. This combo should put some serious power down!🤞🤘 I’ll get some vids on my YouTube for it and post it when I get a chance! Thanks again🙂

I run a max5g2/spektrum 5687-1100kv in my xmaxx without much drama. I only run 29/46 gearing in it and haven't had too many issues running an arrma 8D M1 pinion with GDS spur. Plenty of speed for what I do. I have belted sledgehammers on it, but I also wrapped them as I saw people on youtube/facebook still blowing them apart.

I have killowattrc M1.5 22/35 gears which is a hair lower ratio than what I'm currently running, but haven't had the need to install them yet.
