It's a beast! 1978 and I've had it since about '95 or so.
They are tanks! Ours are the earlier models, both came from our family farm.

Well, since last weekend they were initially calling for 19" and we got nothing; this weekend they're calling for an inch of snow. We will probably get the 19" this time since the meteorologists can't seem to get it right.

Our local weatherman years ago was a really cool dude. 3 days in a row one winter he was saying 6-7", ice, etc. Nothing all three days. It all landed south of I-70. Which is what almost always happens.

Not mine... that was my oldest son's attempt to go to work... the highway is pretty clear, the two miles between here and the highway, not so much.

We got it back to his driveway, but it couldn't get enough traction to get into his garage.

I had just finished rebuilding and upgrading the top end of my 90 Mustang. The day after I got it done we got 10" of snow, and I had been looking forward to driving it to work. She was nasty and loud, but even an inch of snow made her undriveable.

Talk about being late to the party. This whole thread slipped by.

Where I am here in VA, we had about 4 inches of powder come down and then it immediately started sleeting for at least 12 hours or so. There is a solid 5-6 inches of frozen solid ice everywhere. DOT took care of the main roads pretty well, but the plows can't do anything for the neighborhoods. They have sent heavy machines with scraper blades down the main streets of our neighborhood, but that just smoothed the ice out lol. The local Karens are big mad about the current conditions.

We've been very lucky to never have lost power.

My kids are on day 4 of school being cancelled and I can almost guarantee they're not going back next week either. I don't know that they've been indoors since it started coming down. They're loving life.

My wife's work has been closed until today. I'm lucky to be 100% remote telework but I've been 1000 times busier with work than usual.

The upside is, if I want to go for a quick trail ride in the 1:1, I can just hop in my Jeep and go cruise around the neighborhood. This trail is more difficult than most of my local mountain trails in the summer. The dirty looks from the Karens while they try to chisel their Camry out of their driveway really makes it special. 🤣

One dog loves it:

The other dog not so much:

This pic was taken in the middle of the night once the precipitation stopped. The sky was LIT UP. There are no city lights or anything that would cause it in that direction. It was pretty cool:

Of course, we had to do some ice grilling and some ice crawling:
