Was born in MD, and been all over. People down here seem to live in a bubble as far as being aware of what happens further North.

Last time we got whacked with any real accumulation to speak of (which still wasn’t much 🤷🏻‍♂️), they closed the plant early due to weather conditions-but being maintenance; of course I worked through the end of my shift, and even did the gap (another 1:45 until B-squad showed up so I could do the changeover). I then hopped in my 680rwhp 2001 Camaro SS on Toyo R888R roadrace tires, and drove north for 35mi in the “blizzard”… I cannot count how many Jeeps, 4-Runner’s, Explorer’s and Tahoe’s I passed sitting on the shoulder of US1.. it just boggles my mind what goes on down here during the winter.. 😅
Yeah but you know how to drive. Like anything. Front wheel drive bicycle with a round steering wheel? No problem. These F freaks around here can't drive a TV remote. I've driven everything that has wheels & tracks & hulls. I just hate the ice. Snaps power lines. I went 4 days w/o power couple years ago.

Yessir-I’m right there with ya. We live in BFE/East Jahbib, and know all about it too unfortunately. Logs in the fire, and a few rounds of Parcheezy and we are good to go.. 😂

I still say its because of old bay.

I literally just smashed (4) hard boiled eggs dusted in the stuff a few minutes ago.. All I use it for is that (deviled eggs with bacon too), crabs, and my Krab salad..😎

I just got through doing ice maintenance outside on the condenser. Can't let it freeze over. Got it cleared & made a makeshift plywood lean-to over it right quick. Fan can still blow out, but water & ice are blocked, diverted. Gutters are puking water. Drinking coffee & eating pizza in front of the fireplace now.

Wait, what? Around here they're in Subarus. Someone getting in the way of anything? "It's always a freakin Subaru". :D That's not me. That's the wife saying that. HA.
@9x19 drives the lesbian marketed Crostrek. I drive the economical, but cool (and straight) Impreza.

Dude. You drove your bitchin camero with road tires through said blizzard, and a bunch of the "blizzard" vehicles were sidelined? HAHAHAHA Good on ya!

At least someone knows how to drive :)

25° & everything is frozen solid. The temps got to 39° overnight & it all re-froze into slick sheets of ice. Roads are not passable.
I'm guessing they probably only have enough salt for the major roads and highways. Refreeze are the worst!
