thanks! .just did my first pass.... its wicked!! still working bugs out of the transmitter with no instructions (thank you @WickedFog )

but it seems stubby bob was a good analogy.. it rides wheelies in 6 in grass!!

rear suspension in MUCH too soft. now that i have all these metal gears.. i'm gonna try the harder helper springs.. but i dont know.. its very much more heavy than it was. but those proline shocks werent cheap so we're gonna make it work. ha

6s Arrma shocks so cheap, you won't mind putting the Prolines away for anoyher project!

So how were your temps?

alright.. did a pass of about 3 min with no fan. got to 107 degrees on the motor.. and 87 on the esc.. what are we thinking, fellas? smaller pinion gear? i can only find the 61t spur gear. so that may not be an option. i foound some pinion gears on amazon. 11t thru 15t. for 13 buck
but if its anyting like motorcycles... you get a much bigger difference from your countershaft sprocket (the small one that hold the chain to the engine) anyway...
would that be true here as well??

interesting.. i checked them out.. i'm assuming i need to know the shock lengths of whatever it is i'm buying for compared to what i need for the gorgon? they dont have lengths listed on the site is why i'm asking. and will they fit in between the openings of the a arms properly you think? or are they the same diameter as the 2 and 3s stuff??

Is that Celsius or Fahrenheit?

Wow. That's great then! Keep running and keep monitoring it. What is your ambient temp?

If it's really cold out, cooler motor temps can be expected. But weather it's hot or cold, keep your temps below 170°F. As I said, I stay below 160°F, and that is in case something gets in a bind, there is a bit of leeway there to catch it before the motor has a meltdown, because it can happen very quickly.

If you know your eye to eye fully extended, jennys can give you anidea of what they hsve that will work.
There are def different mounts between 3s and 6s shocks. Buy hardware bags from jennys from the same kit the shocks are sourced from and youll be ok i think.
Springs are going to be some trial and error imo.
Once you get the 6s shock and springs you'll have some idea of what the springs are like and if they suit your build also.
Can buy different springs as needed.👍

Ok, so expect higher temps in the summer, and when it does heat up outside, make sure to recheck things. But it sounds surprizingly that you are going to be ok. I would not have expected that with those tires. But great win, and really awesome job considering this is your very first RC build! 🤟

alright.. time to close this one out and move to paint and body to study how to mount a half cab body to somethiming not designed for it. with only one support to work with... eesh. any ideas thro dem links at me. unless you think that i should just go ahead and start a thread. but that seems a bit immature until i study on it first, yeah?

anyway.. many thanks to @WickedFog and @CertifiedMike for helping me out so much..

anyone in the future that this might be helping.. trust those guys..and when you get frustrated.. take a break. "its supposed to be fun!" a wise man once told me.. (mike.. mike said that..these guys rock)

cheers, booys
