Had lots of spare parts from the other two trx4m’s, so I grabbed one of them Injora tarantula shells to let the boy build one. Will mainly just be using a lot to the stock stuff from the Traxxas, for now anyways.

Got as far as we could today, still waiting on some pieces to come in.

Dumb question time…

Will the tqi radio we have for the trx4 bind to the ecm2.5 receiver/esc that came in the trx4m? So I could use the app to set the servo endpoints.

This guy says you can use other Traxxas transmitters.
Fast forward to 6:55 or so.

This transmitter will link to your trx4-m and be able to set steering end points. I bought a used one on Ebay and use it with mine.

Already have the one that came with the boys trx4 so I’ll give it a shot!

And it worked called my son and had him try it real quick and he got it to go.

Should get the front axle, diff gears and servo in today, waiting on bearing kit and paint. Got to pick out some wheels and tire for it still

Got the front axle and servo on today. Son asked if I had ordered the wheels, then said how we gonna put em on . Dang it, I swore we had hexes…dig around the junk yard, had some extenders we had from the ax24 build that got lost in the mail and I had ordered different ones. Drilled them out to fit the Traxxas axle and move on .

should have bearings tomorrow to get the diffs and axles in and possibly take it for a test run with some take off wheels son is impatient

Well it came to life today (to please an impatient 9yo)

And no the battery isn’t going to stay strapped to the roof

Got a tray coming but it might be for the black bronco the more I think and I may use the one from that in here, not sure yet. The wheels/tires are from the junk yard for now, new ones on the way, still waiting for the other paint (one can hiding in the back )

Still waiting for the other paint, but I decided to see if it was even gonna turn out sprayed the sides…

Also took the battery tray from the black bronco, for this, the other tray I ordered will work better in it because I can’t use the stock one and the same place on it. I put the esc in the battery tray for now, only because it was blue and I didn’t want it sticking out in the back. Got the battery on the back, will see how it does. May have to switch it around
