I just ordered one on 06/30/09, anyone running this engine? Mine is a teal head so i guess its supposed to have a bigger carb and more aggressive porting! I can't wait, mail man brings it today! I'll post pics later.

the 427 is a killer engine for buggy, truggy or mt. tons of power even when ran conservatively rich, which will lead to tons more life and gallons in it in the long run. marauder is running this in hid losi 8ight, just ask him! easy to tune and very impressive and will run real close to the higher end ones on the track.

I got this motor for my savage25, i just sealed it yesterday, i was told with the losi spin start it would fit my truck.... but there is no way to get the rod in the spin start, so i ordered a pull start and a new rim..... and air filter and.................... ordered it all last night overnighted...........ugh this better be it, i really could of bought a brand new Truck for the amount i spent!

I have a 427 with the gold head. It seems to be hard to keep a tune on. when it runs it is awsome. Hard to start sometimes. I would rather have an ofna .28 or .32. the oneway bearing in the roto start goes bad all the time. You can make it last longer by pouring some fuel into the carb once it starts to slip, this will clean it enough to get it started. Once it slips you have to replace it or clean it every time you run it. Once you clean it it will work for he day, but if you let it sit over night you will have to clean it in the morning before you raun it again. Sorry I hope you have better luck than I did.

I have the Teal head which has a bigger carb and more aggressive porting i heard. I sealed the motor and it holds a tune well, its barely broken in yet, but the power is enough to blow up my drivtrain... I'm mostly FWD now lol.

I've got the Mach 427 (Gold Head) in my Losi 8ight RTR.

It seems to have plenty of torque and tunes well. Will eventually convert to electric.

i have a 427 with the teal head in one of my sportwerks turmoils and i can't even hold traction without flipping on concrete
