I'm looking for some input on which rtr truggy to get. looking for your opinions on which one i should go with. remember I'm looking for something RTR. thanks

Associated RC8T. to be honest i don't and never have owned one of these. if i didi (and i want to) it would be a team associated. i strongly believe that they are fast, and strong. i don't think you would go wrong getting one.:first_place:

What are you looking to do with it? Race? Bash? A mix of the 2?

If you plan to race, the only RTR I would even recommend is the Losi 8ight-T 2.0 RTR. It's got everything you need to get started except fuel I believe.

Other than that...I would buy a kit and all your electronics seperately since you can get better quality items that way. Personally, I'm going to be buying a Hot Bodies D8T Truggy kit within the next week or so. A Main has them for $329.99 and a $25 coupon to use....so for @ $325 you get a brand new kit sent to your door.

Then you need:

Engine: $100 - $500
Servos: $100 - $250 for both
Radio: $100 - $400
Bump Box: $50 used, or @ $150 new (OFNA Truggy Box)
Batteries: $50
Charger: $50 - $200

So a lot of it depends on what YOU want for equipment, rather than what they include in an RTR. I'd rather pay $100 for a good servo, than $60 for one I will replace with a $100 one in 6 months time. Saves me $60 ;-)

It might cost you $100 or so more than the Losi RTR depending on what components you pick, but in the end...it's an extra $100 well spent if you plan to race.

i probably would be doing more bashing then racing but there is an awesome track about 45 minutes from me that ill be sure to try a few times. but will be doing alot at the local bmx track

What kind of budget do you have? Does it have to be NEW or will used suffice?

at the time the budget is low haha I'm putting a new motor on my slayer now and a few other projects but towards fall id like to find a decent deal under $500 and o it doesn't have to be new just has to be from a reliable and trustful person. seems to be alot of them on here!!

XTM XST or Losi 8ight T 2.0. One of the guys i pit with runs hotbodies but he says that you have to do some stuff to it to make it more durable mainly with the suspension. I'm not sure what kind of things he has done to make it as good as it is, but I do know that his is a kit and he spent a ton of money on it. I have an 8ight t the first generation and its very durable but the steering balls always pop off of it so I had to replace those with some aftermarket ones, plus I also needed to upgrade the steering servo ($120 servo) but it still doesn't turn how I want it too. It also weighs more than most truggies but the 8ight t 2.0 fixed a lot of bugs so it would be a good buy. The XTM XST (wish I waited to buy it instead of 8ight T) Comes with a great/POWERFUL!!! engine (XTM 24.7), Airtronics radio (I wish I got one instead of my Spektrum but Spektrum is the only radio the LHS sells) and it is very durable no extra things to make it run good/perform well. I have some XTM R/C's and I recommend them to anyone. If your interested in the XST, heres a site with different XST's read the description on each of them cause there are major differences and you get what you pay for. It is a trustworthy site to buy from. The owner of the site owns a hobby store in I want to say California. And to everyone reading this that is interested, I believe he only ships to the US incase your from the UK.

I hope this helps :)

Go to the track on race day and ask around. You might get lucky and find someone having a really bad day who is willing to let it all go for cheap!
