The Revo is faster and handles better. The Savage is better over all due to it's durability.
Speed wont help you unless you can drive the truck.
Out of the box, the Revo is faster, but most guys that race have after market engines for more power and speed so don't be pissed if you pull a new revo out of the box and get beat.

Being that he's a forum sponsor and the fact that I work for the site, it wouldn't be right coming from me.
But I can tell you that Rushrc is a reputable company. I've dealt with Bruce on many occasions.
If speed is your thing, look into the OS 18 TM for the revo.
It's a direct fit and adds insane power.

The Revo really faster than the Savage 4.6? if so thats kind disappointing, i want the fastest truck on the track, lol.

On the track? If you want to race you need to check out the truggys, IMO Kyosho has two of the best out there right now.

My Savage 4.6 had a 3 speed tranny and the Revo 3.3 was still faster in the top end. The 3 speed really gave the Savage more low end torque and great acceleration but as Ratzo already said it doesn't do much for the top end. Both are great trucks and you will be happy with either one, you will be even happier with both.

Hey guys, just an update, i just bought a REVO 3.3 with everything i needed at my LHS, i paid a little more than it would have cost me online, but i got it all today, and now i get to go home after work and play with it, hehe. I'm sooo STOKED, thx alot for everyone help, I'm sure ill be pokin around here alot from now on, lol.

Congrats bro! Remember to take your time breaking in the engine. While your batteries are charging read through the break in procedure a couple of times to sure you understand them. Before you start the engine for the first time use a heat gun or hair dryer to preheat it. This will help it start easier. Also remember when it runs out of fuel and your letting it cool down turn the flywheel until the piston is at bottom dead center.

Now that you have an RC you are required to show pics of it!

omg, i am beatin the hell outta this thing already, lol, on the 4th tank i flipped it, and now I'm on like the 12th tank and i hit just about everything in the yard including a tree, a big ass rock and i slammed into the ditch and flipped it, not to mention comming out of the ditch i gave it alot of gas and it ended up on its top and slid for about 30 feet, hahahaha. i feel bad I'm beatin up a brand new $600 toy, but damn its fun!!

oh yeah, i think i really need to calibrate the engine, but I'm not quite sure what to do exactly, i definately dont get a wheelie off the start, and its taking a REALLY long time to shift sometimes

until you know what you're listening for in the tune it really helps you not blow up engines......
