I've just recueved two HPI MT2's in the post, sent by a very generous fella on facebook.

Neither have transmitters - both have FM recievers in them but I'm looking for suggestions for a quality budget 2.4GHz system.

Also looking for suggestions on cleaning up badly oxidized heatsinks. I was thinking of trying to find a local powdercoater but if I can do it cheaper, I would like to

One of them runs like a top after cleaning the schmutz out of the carb and tank, and a good degreasing Will try the other tomorrow.

Have you looked at the FlySky GT3 or GT5 radios? Lots of options, low price, great reviews!
I am looking at buying a GT5 or 2 soon too.

It may or may not work in this situation or produce results that meets your expectations, but I'd give Flitz a try.
