Order a new servo and ESC before you go puddle jumping 😉

I don't care what it says on the box. Splash proof maybe. But I have yet to see an RC that is completely waterproof unless you actually take steps to do it yourself with conformal coating or a similar method.

Awesome truck. You can't put very big tires on it without doing some trimming. I went with tires close to stock diameter on ours so I didn't have to hack up the ftont end too much. I wanted to keep from hacking up the grille.

Congrats @majin . Awesome little trucks, my wife has one which she keeps it out of my hands because she knows I would rip into it and mod the crapola out of it.
The only thing I have done to it is bought a set of wheels and tires, some brass weights down below, and put in a Emax servo.
Not quite as aggressive as the Deadbolt out of the box but a fun cruiser regardless.
The wife is ok with that because she likes to drive it on flat terrain and talk to it like it's her first born. :D

It's just super rainy today so when I drive it outside I'll mist likely get wet
I'm not going out looking for creek yet
That will obviously have to wait till I grease things up
I meant more wet grass

Oh, well you 'should' be ok. But ya never know. I've had servos go out, receivers, etc just driving in wet conditions. One thing is that truck doesntmove too fast, so there won't be a lot of spashing up into the shell.

If anything goes bad, that's just an excuse to upgrade 😁

My girls drove mine into a swimming pool and that little guy just kept on chugging

Don’t know how much water our ax24 has seen (but knowing my son it has 😂) but the trx4m wasn’t out of the box 5 minutes before it had water over the roof 🤣(it was submerged quite a few times after that too) it was still going when we ditched the stock esc

It depends really. I've submersed RC's before and not had a problem. But my old Dromida ran through puddles a few times with no issues. Then one time I drove it in the rain and the Rx and servo went out. Chewy drove his F450 through water and fried his Rx if I remember correctly. So I just avoid water anymore if I can help it.

The 450 reciever box was open and I water boarded it. It worked some after that then took a dump.

The old vxls loved water. After they coated them did they start having issues. 🤣

I try to have him keep them out of the water, but he is 9 😂.

That's why I would be concerned driving an SCX24 under water. The ESC/Rx box isn't sealed at all. And the stock servo I am sure would die if any water got in it.

I act nine sometimes but I stay out of the water. :D If they go in the water they should be cleaned and dried asap.
After I go out and play, it takes me out of it and I have to sit for a few days so I don't get to my maintenance anytime soon.
Too much at stake as WF mentioned. Just not worth destroying anything. Besides, I hate cleaning mud.

That TRX4 is probably safe to do some fully submerged crawls with a go pro. Like a redneck fish finder 🤣
My TRX4 Sport w/Traxx had never seen anything but the inside carpet, when the ESC stpped working. Then, and I am not even kidding, not one minute after finishing the new ESC install, on it's maiden voyage, the servo stopped working. Upgraded the servo, but replaced the ESC with the exact same one (Traxxas sent me a new one, after having me send in the bad one for them to confirm that it was the ESC that failed so quickly). Both have been trucking along ever since, not even a hiccup.
