See y’all shortly….

View attachment 212815Picco DLX ... ha !!! had to look that up. having Marine raced PICCO's for many years, there logo and color marketing kinda gave me a clue.
I plead the fifth! 🤐😅

Picco has been my favorite engine manufacturer, hands down for over 20yrs now, and I just so happened to find the last distributor in the country not long ago.. The DIX engine is super unique-as it’s got some features that no other manufacturer in 1:8 off-road has done.. I’m super stoked to have it in my hands.. Should work out TREMENDOUS for what I’m looking to do.. I’ve also got a P3TX that’s heading to my engine guy for some work out of the box, as well as an absolute ANIMAL of a Picco that should arrive tomorrow or Saturday.. That one is headed out for work as well.. I’m pumped! 🍻🤘

I don’t understand most of what you said here but I’m psyched nonetheless 😃

Just a bunch of high end Italian Nitro engine mumbo-jumbo…😅 All very good things in the works for this buggy, as well as two of my other nitro vehicles.. And there may very well be yet another nitro vehicle entering the chat that I’ve had my eye on for a lonnnnnnng time now… Maybe..🤩 Not to worry however-my electric vehicles aren’t going anywhere…I run ‘em all. This thread in particular will definitely put out though-I guarantee it.. Just starting to fan the flames..😎

I'll date myself here ... Having Raced R/C boat for well over 20 years starting in the mid 1980's, Nitro was King and we saw many hull classes based off the gambit of engine displacements and sub types. .21 / .40 side exhaust / .45 / .67 / .90 cu in.

The little .21's had raced K&B's early on being inexpensive, then onto Rossi or Nova Rossi, to O.S. Blue heads Then the PICCO P-5 series starting with silver cased and then the newer Black case P-5's, and some CMB's in rear exhaust and the Red & Green head models too.

As MARINE and water cooled ... 60 -65% Nitro fuel was the go too !! We spooled them up 28 to 31,000 rpm ( P-5's ) and needed to run McCoy 9 "Cold" plugs. At the time we could get custom TI connecting rods or run RPM rods.

That was some great years of nitro racing ... it by in large got replaced with large 21-25cc Gas Class engines and then the FE invasion :jawdrop:

I’m sure it was great fun man! My old engine modifier was big into boat racing after he got away from off-road.. Some of his clientele just managed to pull him in.. Literally setting world records. His stuff was always fast.. Set world records with his off-road engines as well..

But annnnnnnywhoooo-back to the topic at hand; another 1/8 off-road Picco (as well as a few other items for another upcoming build 😎) has finally entered the chat… THIS one is gonna hurt some feelings…😈

It’s astounding to me that you have all those parts and know exactly how to put them together. And it’ll come out as a masterpiece too. You’re a gifted fella. It looks confusing to me but great at the same time. Do you have everything you need for the build?
