I just got this video from my local club's web site. This happened on Sunday....I was at work so I missed it. It was an 1/8 scale truggy converted to brushless running Lipos. Can only figure that the pack some how got damaged in a small crash and it went up after a few minutes of running. All I can say is damn that sucks.

Ha, that sucks. But still cool though. I guess people dont realize that when you add small bits of wood to a chemical fire, they usually dont put it out, the wood just catches fire. lol

So here's a stupid question I'm sure but, how much punishment can a lipo take or should you not bash with lipo's?

Actually I think that was gravel but it sure does look like wood chips. Old Boy Scout fire building skills are coming back. We have made new rules......an ABC fire extinguisher must be on hand during race days.....lol

Yup sure are
1. Pile of dry tinder (check)
2. Wood to burn (check)
3. Exploding Lipo battery to light it all (check)

Who brought the marshmallows? Hey I am better at this than I though!

This was big news on Sunday on the island here,

I ran into two people, one on base and one at a local RC store, it was one of the first things they mentioned. Definately sucks being "That Guy"

The video does add a certain level of entertainment though.

Yup it sure does suck......one each Losi 8ight down the drain. Glad not to be that guy this time. His battery box broke and the linkages gouged the pack and shorted out. Took a few laps to light it up....but when it did...man look out.
