I'm looking into buying a lipo for my crawler, and was wondering what is a good one that i could get some decent run time out of it..I'm using the one off my slash and want to get a smaller one so i could put it on the front axle.

its a axial ax10 and the esc is a mamba max and the motor is a novak 55

I run the novak 55 with the novak rooster crawler motor, with jr servo, and i run this pack

With about 45 minutes of runtime.

Mounted on front links, Best setup I've ever had on it, and I've tried PLENTY.

Bracket made of Lexan painted black.

Zip-tied onto front links with small zip-ties and velcro placed on top.

Velcro placed onto the bottom of battery, and placed onto the bracket.

The front axle with a 4 -link set up is a much better place for a small lipo battery and then you can place your ESC on the front upper links using the same idea Alpine showed you.

This is what my AX10 set up looks like up front.

I am really happy with it and it makes a huge difference on approach angles not having to worry about get the steering linkage hung up on a rock.:D

It really cleans it up having all of linkage out of the way, definatly a good thing.
