Yes, because the voltage drop under load on the nimh pack is lower than a lipo pack, you will get much shorter run times due to the LVC kicking in.
 
Yup, Sweetdiesel is correct as normal on this one. I had that problem on my Mabmba Max switching between Lipo and Nimh...I would get just over half of the run time I should have on a pack because it would cut off too quickly.
 
I think I should be able to bypass the cut off by just hooking the esc back to the rx like stock. Unless having the power wires spliced in from the cut off to the esc would affect it.
