Hi Guys,
I have swapped out the bullet connectors on the Turnigy 5000 3S 11.1V batteries and have the balancing extension cable for the charger.
What I would like to know is what charge current should I set the charger to? The iMax charger allows from .1A to 5.0A in .1A increments. Given the battery we have is there an optimum or is it a simple as the more charge the quicker it charges?
Is there a relationship between the charge currents and how many times battery can be charged? Is it more dangerous to charge the LiPo's at a higher current? Wanting to find out the best and safest balance with batteries we have.
I noticed also that the iMax charger has a "storage" mode which set the amount the battery charges to for storing the battery when not in use, can I ask what would be the best voltage and current setting for the batteries? I suppose the extension to this question is there any need to discharge the battery and if to what levels?
Do the LiPo batteries develop a memory overtime if they are not stored in a specific state of charge??? There is no info with the batteries with any recommendations or indeed the iMax charger.
Appreciate any help understanding the do's and don't.
Thanks and regards,
Fleetz
