If ya make a new thread I'll move these over, but I'll stick 'em here for now before ray breaks out the whoop-ass. This is a simple little setup that works for me out bashing and on the bench. I usually carry a card board box with my fuel, starter, TX's, etc. Anything that don't fit in the toolbox.

LOL I wouldn't do that to you guys :) I figured the tool box stuff could go here also instead of making a new thread about it.

Anyways, thats a sweet set up you got there. I forgot all about the fishing tackle boxes. Those things has to work great for this hobby aslo...I just need to find one I can tell the difference from my real fishing gear ;) Now theres another hobby thats adictive...Bass fishing:)

Damn :OMG:

Well I'm not sure I want to go that far...sence it's my in-laws that has the lakes I do my fishing on ;)

I'm in a great mood today, I got all three trucks running great during the same day thanks to you guys and girls. It's awsome to not have to be waiting on parts and only having one ot play around with. Now I'm going to go order some extra parts so I'm not waiting on parts all the time lol

here's my little "nice day" pit/cleaning setup. i don't even fool with the things inside, so any time it's a nice day i drag everything outside and work.

Hey, got your new pal out there, too! And your Dachsey!

What do you do when it is summer? Doesn't it get to about 100 degrees and 100% humidity where you are?

NICE setup...LOL...let me get this one straight...you put a touch pad on your laptop to use instead of the touchpad that won't fall all over the place???
you drag a set of PC speakers AND the sub to listen to tunes.....DAMN I want my pit to have that setup next year....if I end up w/ a trailer by the end of the year I'll have to get wireless internet in it too......that's just too funny...can't miss any RCNT while running them huh?????
I especially like the dual purpose charging stand.....

I'm just busting in jest......man hope you can take a lil poop talkin.....

One more ?
Are the dogs your pit crew?

lol@plaid!!! that is an ipod not another touch pad lol..

i keep telling him he needs a garage or building. i have all my stuff in the garage so i dont have to drag it all out, then put it all back up.

I'm wondering what's in those paper barrels? Human body parts? Nuclear waste? La Coca?

O-I-C...I-pod...it looks just like my touchpad I used for a while....why not just put the MP3 on the laptop? ahh whatever I was just trying to bust his nuts a lil...nice setup thogh....I need to get a lil portable table for some places I go....doing it off a tailgate that's knee high is a bitch....

Revo, you are almost right. what WAS in those barrels was a powdered form of ultrasonic couplant for doing ultrasonic NDT. it is white and it looks like "la coca". Plaid, you need to get with the picture! i can't believe you dont know what an ipod looks like. i use the ipod cause its easier to control the volume and stuff. and when it's summer, i just get a fan. DUH. oh, yeah and i got wireless here and at the lhs! PAYOW BEYOTCHES!!

just bustin back a little!

I admit it...I work around technology all day and I'm the know it guy here...I use a i60 Nextel phone still...My home PCs are all P3 and just under / over the 1Ghz mark.....I don't have hi-def TV....If I was single w/ no kid I wouldn't even have cable.....I use the mini-disc player for Portable Mp3 I got for doing a sony commercial for them about 13 years ago...they canned the version I did (w/ a bunch of others) and used Mike Vallely in it ....then canned the whole commercial altogether......

I avoid alot of technology outside of work...I see the "evils" inherent to our techno society and just don't want to be dependent on alot of it like I see many people get.....if it all went away (like after Wilma) I know I'm not going to panic....and I definately know I won't starve....
I know we have a hobby dependant on high tech development.... I'm an enigma wrapped in a conundrum

hey Plaid, i feel you man. i've got the toys, but i make sure i can live without em. hell, i haven't watched tv in over a year. i like my music, though (hence the 30gig ipod, which is nearly full).

I love Hi-Tech toys and tools.
When my satellite or cable goes out, I have their number on speed dial. Its amazing how fast and how clear the VOIP is to India.

Seeker,
You may want to get a UPS to bring with you. Not having one is a great way to trash your computer in the field.

got one. i use it to protect everything and it gives me extra outlets, too, so i can run all the chargers, light, and speakers. everybody should have one of those, i think.

Ed, VOIP=Skype?
Same but on a truly commercial level.
It will amaze you on the amount of calls you get or make are VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol.) Most large compinies are using it and have been for a while. Its truly cost saving.

Hey Truth, you do NDT? I messed with some different forms when I was getting my A&P, if it wasn't for more school I may have gone that route.

well, kinda. ok i'll tell the whole story, i guess. some of you may have wondered why i'm on here all day and night anyway.
My dad started a company called AIP in 1979. I was born in 1980. AIP was a distributor of NDT products. Some of you may have heard of Magnaflux. this is one of the products we sold. in fact we were the largest distributor in the country. i started working there after high school in '99 because i had grown up around the stuff and i knew what the hell was going on. everything goes great for 6 years, i become hot-stuff NDT guru and knower of all things. then dad decides to sell the company to a guy who appeared to be a smart dude. why didn't he just pass it to me, you ask? because i didn't have the cash to give him for a 3 mil a year business. so for the sale to go through, i have to sign a non-compete contract for 1 year. this was in august '05. it was a term of the sale, so if i break it, the parents get sued for breaking the terms of sale, see? anyway, month and a half goes by, then hurricane hits. i go east towards Mississippi to evacuate in the company truck which i was supposed to be driving. when i get back from hurricane, a guy is in my lab that we fired like 3 years ago and i'm like WTF!!??. then the new owner gets me and says you don't work here anymore, i want your office keys, truck keys, and i hope you have a ride home. he tries to make it look like i stole the truck and left the state with it so he has a good excuse to fire me. that was a bad move because i know more about that business than almost anybody anywhere and that's not BS. so here i am with no job and a 1 year non-compete that ends in August this year. i have a wealth of knowledge that's worth about 150,000 a year and i can't do anything with it. so yes, i guess you could say I did do some NDT to answer your question. and if anybody else out there works in aviation, manufacturing, a quality control department, automotive, or the oilfield, i'm the man to talk to about all kinds of inspection. TOOT TOOT! that was my own horn there. and now you know all about truthseeker a.k.a. Paul
