I guess I was just trying to stress that in the event that I need to redo the job, it will go far smoother than this time. Frustration with the overpriced 'solder' are whats got me worked up, not the comments... sorry for being on edge.
I have bad luck with deaing with repair ppl generally speaking.
I really try to handle my own.
Coming from the auto repair field, I have been completely jaded by the entire process.
The leak is just a drip. The water is on and working tonight.
I plan to shut everything down in the morning and hopefully repack the valve.
The pump pressure gauge is junk too but we'll be leaving that until it blows up or its time to replace this mess with a complete pex system. Replacing the gauge looks like another can of worms.
Home ownership isn't bad. Its just a pain in the nuts when instead of moving forward, I'm moving backwards.

Wasn’t trying to challenge your capabilities or come across like I don’t think you know what you’re doing, if it came off like that I apologize. Just sharing the fact I’ve had my behind handed to me from simple tasks sometimes lol
