This is how the stock uppers mount, on this wing thing.

So I got the rear locked out and got rid of the rear steering crap...And made some new upper link mounts outta some delrin...nothing fancy but it works...

Lots more to come....

Thanks. It should be an ok rig when its done. Their supposed to be coming out with better gears for the axles pretty soon wich will really help too.

Nice!

What was up with the wing things? I have never seen a setup like that.

Yeah Rob, let me clear it up for you with one, well two words....."Redcat". lol. Other than the goofy wings and a few other things they should have done different, it is a MOA, doesn't way much at all and is cheap.

I've been lazy on this, plus waiting on a tq3 to come in the mail to mod for dig and landtortise bought new knuckles and motors wich were waiting on too BUT I got a batt tray made and mounted the 3s pack, added a EEM electronics tray to the skid and mounted a sidewinder as well as dig servo.

Coming along very nice Lloyd, It will be interesting to see how well it crawls when it is a done...

it looks good i am excited to see how much of an improvement it will be over stock i am sure it will be amazing. sng does great work.

Its gonna be a very nice improvement, you now have a comp chassis, bent delrin links and better shock placement PLUS the sidewinder, wich alone is a great step up since they are so versatile in programming options, as well as the BEC so when you get a new high torque servo you wont have any problems running power too it.....and of course, 3s, wich is gonna be what you love the most probably.

yeah the servo's are the next thing on the list. So figured I would throw some specs up here.

It's a Redcat Rockslide Rs10. EEM SNG V1 Chassis, SNG bent Delrin links, sidewinder ESC, CC BEC, BaneBot Motors, 8t pinion rear 10t front, homemade dig box, modded tq3, pro line baja bug body, stock shocks, servo, and wheels, white rovers and 3s lipo.

seems like a good combo should be great when the metal spurs come out and I get a new high torque servo.

let me know if anything is missing lloyd

thanks.

I'll get some pics up once I finish the dig setup too. Not gonna be anything fancy but should work till you can afford a Punk switch.

i'll post a pic of the body tomorrow too. I think it turned out good.

can't wait to test run this thing

Pretty much finished it for now. Got the new motors wich both had problems but I was able to get one of them going again after opening it and clean peices of the magnet out! But I have it in the back and the stock motor up front now.

Also finished the servo/switch dig, modded a tq3 for it, didnt want to take up room with any kind of plate so I just put both switches on the servo horn and glued a peice of delrin on both sides of the servo right at the end of the throw.

Also got the new aluminum knuckles on and made him a new steering link as well as got the body mounted.

It runs now pretty good but once another new motor is installed and high torque servo, it will be good to go.

Looks good, the only think I am wondering about is how well those little motors are gonna work, So I guess the next question is how well does it crawl.

The little motors is its down fall for sure.

Any updates on this? :D Really, I'm not trying to waken dead threads.

I love those Bug bodies - did you cut that one yourself? the site says to use curved scissors and all that... anyone ever used a dremel with the cutoff wheel? that's how i did my jeep hahaha... my real jeep that is, but of course i used an angle grinder.

This threads almost a year old bro. He got rid of this chunk long ago and went to a bully.
