Started on my TS. Not doing a video series this time, but will put together a video montage of the pics later. Anyway, here we go.

Forged trailing arms baby! Love the design here. Aluminum arms are a no-no, but when they mount in this fashion, they are pretty bulletproof. Plus these are forged.

There's a lot more going on with these kits than in your typical modern plastic kits, that's for sure. But the design is just beautiful watching it all go together.

This kit came out in 1985, after the Scorpion, which was launched in '82 or '83 if I remember correctly. The Turbo added bigger wheels and a slightly wider/longer wheelbase (I think). And this re-release kit has only had a couple very minor changes since then.

For me, it just brings back memories of RC in the 80's, and how these kits were the pinnacle of the hobby at that time. There was absolutely nothing that came close back then when it came to the detail and quality in my opinion, and that is still nearly true today, a whopping 37 years later. That's pretty damned crazy if you think about it, considering how much manufacturing has changed and tried to cheapen things up. To me though, it's like assembling a work of art that I drooled over as a kid.

This going to be cool build!! Can’t wait to see the progress

Got the front suspension done. It's a pretty complex trailing arm setup like the rear, but there is a lot more to the front.

Heck yea!! Liking it so far..

I'll try to get back on this build tomorrow. Unable to continue until I dye some parts, and today that would be a little rough. Bad knees suck 😖

Think work is giving me bad knees. Right knee been bothering me a lot lately. It’s dose suck. Plus my hands been bothering me from wrenching and welding all the time. Carpal tunnel ehhhh

Tried dying the tub black and it won't take dye, so white it is. I did get the wheels and wing to take dye though, and it came out a dark blue, even though I used the same black dye I used on the Javelin cage. Anyway... more pics

A better pic of the wheels to show the color.

Looking really good I actually like the white.
Yeah, I think I will paint the body pearl white, with some dark blue stripes.
