I hope the little arms and adapters are avail separate.
I don't care for factory servos. I've yet to find one that wasn't total crap with an expensive sticker on the side.

I didn't follow what the reviewer was saying about how 2spd was included but not set up... I get it now.
I watched the video, and there were several mentions of how thin the axle housings are. Does that mean the axle itself inside is also thin....and will that be a problem after adding rotating mass with weighted beadlockers etc.

I'd like some clarification here too.
The cv axles look thin on my optima mids but they take an absolute HAMMERING. That design was 40 years ago.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the 'thin axles' aren't really an issue.

This isn't Kyosho's first RC, just their first crawler.

I think everything looks pretty 'to scale'. It doesn't look like a Toyota SUV riding on military axles.

With all the reviewers out there testing on these trucks...
We're ALL gonna find out soon. 🤞😉🤣

I get that with the optima....it's the extra weight from the brass etc on weighted wheels with the extra leverage of a 4+ inch tall sidewall that is of concern. More so if in high gear at speed.

I've been working on older crawlers recently and they seem to have studied those and what worked, very well. I don't think it'll be much a problem reliability wise but time will tell.

It also says Version 1 or Body 1 or something in all the literature I read. I think that points pretty clearly to release number 1. They probably have half a dozen bodies ready to rip.

This is their second crawler. First scale crawler.

The Rock Force came out in 2008. It was worm drive (weird) but it was BEEFY...not seen here on the new release lol.

I wonder why it didn't do well?
People were more into custom then?
I wasn't into RC at that time.

The price paired with the end of the 2.2 comp truck era made it a flop.

I remember it being very expensive. The worm drive axles were set to compete with the custom MOA trucks (and the Axial XR10) which were very hot. But the worm drives were kludgy and not as smooth. Also, it was the same year the SCX10 was introduced...the world was swept by scale fever from then on out.

Ah the good ol days...2.2 comp trucks were an absolute blast.

I wasn't really ever into crawling. Not surprised I never saw one of these before.

Thanks for sharing that.

Makes complete sense! The SCX10 was the second kit I ever built and they were everywhere.

That same year, the Slash 2WD was released. RCs were looking like the real things again and scale was FIRE!
