Its just to get me by till I can get a 2.4 GHz I think it will work pretty well. What do you guys think?

Won't that radio accept a 2.4Ghz spectrum? I thought I read somewhere that it was convertible...

I mean, you'll need the module in the xmitter and the receiver, but that may be a cheaper route to go if you like what the radio does.

Well, I checked AE's site and downloaded the manual... I don't really see anything saying it outright.

I just skimmed through my latest XRC mag, issue 151, pg 112, paragraph 2, last sentence

"But best of all - you can swap out the radio module, and run a spectrum system if you want - Now that's a great RTR radio!"

Sorry... that was going to eat at me if I didn't figure out where I read it... Man, I read these mags way to many times! Need to lay off the Chinese food!

I'd check with AE or post up on rc411's forum to see if they can back what they write or if it was just speculation before you lay down the dough on the module and receiver.
