Traxxas TQ receiver. The antenna came off.

Yes but its not worth the effort IMO.

I do have a small pile of those receivers and I'd gladly donate one if your interested. They do make great remote detonators but that's really the only use I have for them.

If you want to be cheap, it's not that hard to take the casing off of the recivers for you to solder the thing back on. Just make sure you're precise. With the solder. At the end of the day I'm not telling you to do anything. Mind sending a photo of the reciver and where the thing broke off?

Oh so the clear part came off of the black part? That is a familiar sight. Harder to fix for sure. Try to get the black protective coating or whatever it is away from the actual wire inside and make sure both the broken end and the one still on the thing are exposed. Solder and either put shrink wrap on or electric tape. Might be hard to get in to the little blue sleeve for the antenna on the car itself, but worth a shot 🤷‍♂️

You're not supposed to cut the antenna. Those are tuned. So cutting them changes that tuning.
Good point here wicked frog. If they're tuned to a certain frequency or something, it's probably going to affect that. Keep that reciver tho, who knows, it might come in handy one day 🤷‍♂️. You could try soldering the thing together like I said, but it's probably done. Though I do run my losi on a reciver that had the antennae clean cut, and it works fine 🤷‍♂️.

The length of a wavelength is about 200mm for RC. So a replacement antenna should be that long. If its 2 core then use a coaxial type wire and solder it into the 2 points on the board.
