Very old photo, taken in or around 1976, quite a big thing, I remember it wasn't possible to errect the mast with ‘wind tell tale’ in position indoors and I had to tilt the thing on its stand to reach the top.

I think because of its size and weight it’s dynamic behaviour was quite realistic

Great vintage picture!

I am trying to think of which camera this was taken with, possibly one of these

My dad was a photographer, and that is the exact same camera I had when I was a kid! Got it for Christmas one year.

That’s how I got mine.
I remember film and processing being expensive and it only got used at Christmas and holidays. My father had a Contafex, a fairly odd fixed lens SLR even in its day. I guess the photo could have been taken with that.

Here’s a picture of a vintage Contaflex, the front element of the lens was removable mounted on a beautifully engineered bayonet fixing which allowed the mounting of a slightly longer focal length lens element for portrait or very limited telephoto use. The shutter is a metal Iris shutter mounted in side the fixed part of the lens and has the advantage that it is in the optimum position in the optical path and that the shutter can synch with flash at all speeds, amusingly it has a switch for selecting the correct trigger timing for external xenon or magnesium flash bulbs! One of the more disconcerting aspects of the camera apart from its weight is that the reflex mirror stays up once the shutter is depressed meaning that if panning a shot your sight of the object disappeared!

I remember driving up and dropping off films at those Foto Hut.

Working on a scratch built 1/16 scale sailing scow called "Elsie of Havre de Grace". Almost finished.
I made a pseudo RC Chesapeake Bay Skipjack many years ago. First RC sailboat which was not originally planned to be RC but ended up that way. Here are some photos I have of it on the water
