I hunted with him on a few occasions, and we talked a lot since I was an RA and he was an officer hopefully kids will think of these potential consequences before they act

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I just don't know when our kids turned that corner and it's suddenly ok to act that way. I'm glad he'll be accountable for what he did.

My condolences, Greenwing. That really is just terrible and inexcusable, in my opinion. What probably would've resulted in, at worse, a suspended license or DUI now ends up a murder charge. It's insane the decisions some young folks make these days.

Again, truly sorry, Greenwing. That Officer was too young and too devoted to be taken. Very sad.

Very sorry about your friend. I had the same thing happen a few years back. A close friend was shot and killed trying to serve an arrest warrant, the guy would have only served 6 months at the most. He had just been promoted to detective 2 months before.
