Hi all, I would like to set the throttle so it transforms more smoothly, as it
jumps too much even when I use a light trigger pull. Please explain how to do this and any other things to set, thanks guys, much appreciated,

I'd start with adjusting the throttle trims via the controller. The ESC does not appear to be adjustable on this model (or the one I found anyway)

You may be feeling Sine cut-over, when the esc transitions between low throttle input and driving the motor with a predetermined power band to mid throttle input and the esc reading the poles of the motor to provide power. This is frequently felt as hesitation or stuttering of the truck going from slow/low throttle to mid speed. And to fix that you need a new esc. A Fusion esc/motor combo or something using ESCape32 firmware
 
the ESC is junk. install a decent esc (like a hobbywing) and the control issues will go away. I don't know if I have ever seen a review that does not mention the low quality of the stock esc.

You really don't want to adjust the throttle trim on an electric RC, however, there is one thing you could use it for that I can think of, and that is to use it as a poor man's drag brake 😅

That throttle trim is a feature for nitro. Why they even put it on RTR electric RC transmitters is beyond me.

@BigBaja, as mentioned, your best fix it to upgrade your electronics. Look into something with FOC technology. Furitek and Hobbywing both have FOC equipped ESC's, and they even have motor's with the ESC built in, like the Hobbywing Fusion line. They will crawl slower than ice cream melting uphill.

If you calibrate your ESC, which you tyically have to do anyway, that sets your neutral position, so there is no need to set your throttle trim to do that. Any time you turn that knob away from zero, it is likely right on the edge if tripping your failsafe.

A better radio is what you need, and probably a better ESC. Maybe motor too. The ready to run electronics are typically the cheapest stuff they can put in the RC.

A radio that has throttle curves (Exponent or EXP) will allow the throttle curve to be adjusted to ease in. Your radio will follow the red linear curve. A radio with an adjustable curve will allow a smoother start like the green line.

The cheapest good radio with EXP adjustment is the Flysky GT3B. Usually less than $40 with receiver.

From there, your motor is just a standard brushed motor. It's smoother than a non-sensored brushless setup, but most decent sensored brushless setup will be smoother. Then the next step is a motor with FOC. These along with an FOC ESC are super smooth. But if you want to stay brushed, check out Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster motors. They have more "slots" in the armature wich makes for smoother operation. Your motor has 2 slots. Meaning the armature spins halfway around before the magnets are alingned. Holmes has some with 5 slots. So the distance from magnet pole to magnet pole between the armature and stator magnets is a lot shorter, making for smoother throttle control.

A better ESC is a big plus as well. Look at a Holmes combo to get the best brushed setup.

But if you really want to smooth things out, look at a Hobbywing Fusion Pro or Fusion SE. It has the ESC built into the motor, so it eliminates a piece of hardware. And they use FOC technology (field oriented control) which is as smooth as it gets.
