I've never put batteries in a Savage, so can't help there. I would ship it on the plane in the original box. Wrap it good in packing box paper and label it like it was luggage with fragile stickers. Or take the batteries and any tools out of it and see if they will let you take it on board as carry on, but wrap it up or tape it so they can see it is sealed. Just a thought.

squeeze the rear section of the cover underneath the rollbar first, then slide it forward and down. You can cut a notch next to the antenna hole to help installation.

The truck will fit better in a suitcase or box if you take the wheels, rollbar, and body mounts off. Also make sure you have completely emptied your tank of any fuel.

Sounds like you have something in the way of the cover to sit back down properly. More than likely you have a wire protruding or the RX is moving

the savs receiver box is really a pain..you're doin the right thing ..thats y the best thing is ,get a hump pack and drill a hole or something to take out the switch so u charge it without taking the cover out everytime u change batts..

I was told by people in the airline industry that you can not take fuel on planes, that includes any trace of fuel. You have to clean the heck out of that thing, and I mean spotless or they will NOT let you take it on the plane. Any trace of fuel can cause a fire and nobody wants a fire on a plane. I have never tried, but has anyone had trouble travelling by air with thier Nitro RC?

I've heard of people shipping it where there going, ups or fedex style. its there when they get there

Ill tell you in a month when I bring my mbx-5 to Phoenix, AZ. But, when my friend came here from PA, he had NO trouble with the airline people with his XB8. In fact, they didnt even open the box or anything.

yeah, when I left the country they didn't even open the suitcase and in Guyana. I told them it was a toy car :P

P.S got the lid on
