What rc car should I get? I’m not really looking for crawlers right. I’m mainly looking for either really fast rc cars or big and wide fast rc cars like the x maxx and stuff like that.

Well, you really should go to the Introduce Yourself forum to tell everyone about yourself, but I'll say welcome aboard here anyway.

Being 14, and just starting a job is a fun time.

An X-Maxx is going to set you back at least $1200. But you still need a decent charger and batteries, and I would highly advise you to not go with Traxxas for any of that. You're talking at least $1400 or more.

You could get a brand new 6S Kraton for $700. Again, you're going to need a good charger and batteries, which will se you back a couple hundred. So there's about $900.

My best advice? Save your money. Keep your eye on the used marketplaces on here and on Facebook. It's not uncommon to find some really good deals on RC's. Don't let your money burn a hole in your pocket. Be patient and you'll find a really good dea, whether new or usedl. Watch for sales. Black Friday is coming. Christmas will have more good sales.

XMAXX is unrealistic man…..

$1200 is crazy high and considering that you’re driving a Bandit now, just something like a Stampede 4x4 VXL would probably knock your socks off.

Take the advice I wish I had taken when I was 14 and start saving for a real car. I’m 16 currently and know how bad a XMAXX would be for me lol.

RC is fun but man it piles up.

Where do you run your RCs?

welcome to fight cl- I mean RCT 👋

the XMaxx is a biiiiig and powerful vehicle, make sure you have the space to run and store it; it's also a big step up from your Bandit, so you'd want the tools needed to keep it running too

you can browse for used ones but pay attention to their status, vehicles that have been abused and poorly maintained are not uncommon
