I hate to even ask this being that it's probably something so simple but what the hell here it is anyway.

I want to email RCCA a few pics of my cars/trucks for their reader rides. The paragraph telling me what do says emailed photo's must be at least 300dpi.What the hell is DPI? :stupid:

Dots per inch?? Am I able to adjust that with Photoshop because I can't seem to find it?All I can adjust is the pixels per inch.Is that it?

It basically deals with what Hum said. DPI is dots per inch/or better known as resolution. It deals with how grainy your picture will be. The higher the megapixels on a camera, the better resolution, and therefor a cleaner picture. Hope this helps!

OK my camera is 3.2 megapixels and my pics don't look grainy at all so I guess they are fine the way they are and i'll just have to resize them to fit my mailbox. Thanks guys!

Yes you can adjust the resolution in photoshop. Click on image size, then go to where it will say either inches or pixels, make sure it is on pixels, then set it at 300. If it was shot at a higher resolution this is fine, BUT, if you shot it at a lower resolution this will cause the image to get distorted and blurry.

If you never changed the default setting to your digital camera then I know that your pics will be fine. These days anything less than 300dpi is pretty low especially for camera that is 3.2 Megapixels. Your fine if you have any more problems post the pics here and I will fix them up for you if needed but I'm sure your fine.
