Hey guys i've got a dilema..i have been set on getting a Team X-ray xt8 for the last couple of months and with the price at $460 or something like that its almost to good to pass up..but.....today i made a run to my lhs to get some parts for project low 'n slow and when i walked in the door i think my jaw hit the floor..the first thing i saw was a losi lst xxl(the new one)...i absolutly love this truck now but with a price of $800 canadian do you think i should wait till the dollar to even out again so i can get this a lil cheaper or should i just get the xt8??...i also love the fact that the losi comes with a spectrum..i think i would have bought the truck on the spot if i had money on me lmao..so what do you think i should do???

i can get the lst for cheaper than that on amain lol..but that is u.s. dollars..if i were to buy that it would be cheaper for me just to go pay $800 at my LHS by the time the conversion is done...

here are the prices i would pay in canadian:

lst xxl: $800(canadian) at LHS, $812 plus shipping ordering from amain(cheaper to go to LHS)
X-ray: $561.04(canadian) plus shipping(lhs dosn't sell)

so really i would only save $238.96canadian to get the X-ray..plus i have to get a radio($249.91canadian) and an engine($312.38canadian) and a starter box($117.45canadian)

so in total in canadian with taxes and everything the totals would be:

LOSI LST XXL:$904canadian
X-Ray XT8:over $1240.78canadain

now how does it sound lmao

Get the one your going to get the most use of, it only makes sense, don't get some thing that's just going to sit and only be driven once in a while, the only other thing I would factor in is parts availability, you want to be able to get parts easy if /when you break some thing.

my mgt allready sits around most of the time lmao...i don't get to run it as often as i would like...something i could race on the other hand would get drove for 2-3 hours every weekend...but bashing with that beast of a lst i would make time every night lol..and with that suspension it would probobly kill on the track to..and yes i could get parts faster for the lst xxl..do you see were the word DILEMA sets in??lol

Other.

SAVAGE SAVAGE SAVAGE!

Do you have a spending limit? What type of RC do you want?

well not really..if i need to get the money i'll get it lmao..it'd be next spring befor i could aford the x-ray though

The LST series is already a HUGE monster truck, and the XXL is gonna make 'em look like a T-Maxx in comparison. Think of the XXL as a 1/7th (more or less). And, like you said, Losi ALWAYS has the best RTR gear. Period. To me it's a no brainer!

For that price you just added, get the XXL. It has a great radio, it's a great truck, and I heard the engines pretty good.

well i voted for the xxl because its rtr and plus its just awesome but dont get me wrong i do love truggies but i think that i would go with the xxl because its got the huge ass motor and plus it come with that sleek new spektrum radio i really want that radio

If your set on racing, I'd stick with a ST. The XXL is cool, but if your heart is in racing, it's going to be like lumbering a tank around the track.

When you bought your MGT, did you make time to run it every night? How long did you run it every day before it ended up sitting on the shelf?

Don't get me wrong, the XXL is a cool rig and is a top notch MT. But I'd hate to see anyone spend that kind of coin on something because it's "cool right now".

ya when i got the mgt i ran it every day for at least 4-5 months...i still drive it quite abit but since there is so much snow i havn't been able to drive it that much..thats the only reason i don't drive it that often is because of the snow and it being soooo cold..and i'm not really set on racing it's just something thats kinda fun to do...it's not like the track here gives any prizes or anything any way...

If that's the case, then you may like the XXL. Probably better handling than the MGT, but still stand pretty tall and has a two speed trans, which are good for bashing. Those are two things you lose with a truggy.
