I definitely agree. The real flight simulator is a great tool and a lot less expensive than replacing the plane that you lawn dart. The carbon cub is an excellent plane to start with and it’s big enough to where it won’t be so twitchy like a little Plane would be.

Welcome back @Dan B. , you will learn to love the carbon cub.
I highly recommend a Realflight simulator. My first flight was incredible.
I have it, just need to practice!

Yes, I got that limited edition Chandra Patey RTF edition that came with two batteries, RealFlight sim, and a DXS. For $399.00 on the Black Friday sale year before last. Yes, it’s still in the box…🙄 But she’s coming out soon!

The sim is good to get you used to orintation and muscle memory. But flying the actual plane will feel different. It's actually easier to see, so that helps, and it's a weird sensation, but in real life it seems like you can "feel" the weight of the plane in the air. You'll do fine. :)

Well sonofabitch-look what the cat dragged in! 🤣🤙

I’ve only popped in here and there for a long time now, but I’ve really enjoyed perusing the forum for the last few days. I’m looking forward to being more active here, and I’m really excited to do a couple build threads.
I love the Arrma forum, and I do mostly have Arrmas, but I’ve recently been enjoying some 1/10 touring builds and I’m about to take up flying with a 1.3m Carbon Cub. I like the widespread diversity of RC’s here, everything from drones and airplanes to micros.
See y'all around!
That's the same reason I stayed here all those years ago. :)

Heads up, the leather recliner in the break room is covered in carnuba. If you sit down too fast, you'll slide right out of it! 🤣

I need all the carnuba I can get…
