As we all know, Traxxas batteries are fairly overpriced. I found these on Amazon a while ago while looking for TRX-4m battery alternatives and wondered if they were safe. I want y'all's advice.

I also want to use these batteries with my TRX-4m with those adapters. Or will that burn it out?

For charging, sure. For running, ehh ? 🤷‍♂️

Just by looking at the picture. I could tell that, that battery would most likely be too big for the trx4m anyways. That battery also has a xt60 on it. While those adapters in the first link have a (what looks to be) a balance cord to a traxxas plug

I wouldn't buy 3D printed products with visible print flaws, that's just shoddy craftsmanship. It's odd / too bad that there's not a "real" adapter out there.

I mean. Its the same thing as soldering up a adapter or battery. 🤷‍♂️

If I'm not wrong, the Smart ID part of the traxxas tech is for charging. Shouldn't be an issue with using a non traxxas plug with a traxxas esc.
Now if you still want to use traxxas batteries, you would have to keep the plug on the esc since you can't remove the traxxas plug on the battery so if you wanna use a mix of batteries, id just use a adapter.

So, Traxxas TRX-4m plug to XT-60 or Deans?
Yes. Traxxas trx4m to whatever plug your gonna use. Depends what batteries your gonna get
And when you want to use the traxxas batteries in the car, just don't use the adapter.

If you could find those adapters that werent 3D printed then Id use them, otherwise, Id just buy different batteries or Id just cut the Traxxas connector off and rewire it in to a standard main power connector of my choosing and a standard JST-XH balance connector.
