hey guys i was wondering is it ok to have a little bit of play in the cluchbell?? (back and fouth ) if not should i tighten up if so how ??

the cluchbell is a rc10gt

Back and forth? Like wobble or it slides in/out on the shaft a little bit. Normally, 1mm or so in/out is what you want. You don't want a tight fit, it kills the CB bearings.

Hey man, help me out here. Can you add some punctuation and a few of the missing letters so I can understand what you're saying? I feel like I'm watching "Wheel of Fortune" (Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel!)

If the clutchbell is sliding back and forth on the crankshaft, there's either a screw or an "E" clip on the end. Chances are you'd need to shim it up to take the slop out, but as Olds mentions, a bit of play is preferred so you're not pounding on your bearings all the time.

As to the rest, my apologies, but I simply can't follow ya! If you could try again, I'd appreciate it!

It sounds to me like you need to shim your clutch bell.

If you have a total of 2mm of play, that's a bit much. If you have 1mm of play, you should be fine. Although, I'd shim to about .5mm instead.

Depending on how the bell is attached to the crank, you use shims on the end of the shaft to keep the bell where you want it.
