on my glow plug when i use it to check and see if my glow driver or starter whichever you like the end of the coil dosent light the springiness thing inside does but the last part that looks like a 9 the small part that goes straight dosent light is that ok or should i change my plug?

Does your RC start fine is so then there is no problem. If you are having troubles then that would be why.

As long as the springiness thing inside lights up you're good to go. Red doesn't always cut it. Look for bright orange. That tells you that your ignitor has enough juice.
As far as the 9, that's its' connection to ground, and the temp is lost quickly there. The springiness thing inside is all you need to check.

As Rolex mentioned that last portion is okay. Red glow is a weak ignitor or plug on the way out. Orange is slightly stronger, but not great. You want to see something on the order of bright white to yellow. That means both ignitor strength and plug are doing what they should.

I say when in doubt, change it. $5 +/- isn't worth the frustration IMO.

my bad i didnt mean red it was like bright orange. i dont have any one hand better start stocking up. thanks guys

I've had glow plugs last a few gallons or a few tanks. If you having issues starting it, then try swapping it out with a new one. If you get it running with the new one and that's all you changed, then it's probably the plug.

Is the spring deformed at all?
