If your car hurts you like mine. And you bleed. Don't go running around the house struggling for bandaids. Use a shop towel and rubber band! Or just use tape!

Oh no! Trigger finger for your radio? Now you'll have to wire the throttle wide open to race. Those midnight wrenching sessions take a toll on the body, don't they? j/k

One thing I learned over the years-the hard way. Never have a loose rag or cloth on the workbench. It always lands on or hides something sharp and pointy. Never fails. Stay safe. Have fun. 'AC'

🤣 No. I feel like I stabbed my self with a Allen wrench while mounting tires. I really dont do late night wrenching anymore. I usually do it on the weekends but the next day I wake up at like 1pm.

All joking aside, if you are home, take the time and do things right. Wash out the area well with water and soap, and use a sterile bandaid. I work in the medical field, and way too often, see unproperly treated minor nicks developing into bad infections.
Bandaids are tiny and weighs nothing, so just throw a few into your field box. Heck, you could be over zealous and pack a feminine pad.

AhHa. Ouch. Regarding mounting tires and getting the bead onto the rim can be tough at times. What I use is a flat wooden craft stick-what used to be called a 'Popsickle Stick' dipped in a mix of water and Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Try that sometime and see if it helps. Cheers. 'AC'

It's not a day with out a drop of blood. Especially when wrenching in the RC shop.. can't tell you how many times I've stabbed my hand/finger with some sort of screwdriver. Hexs, flat, phillips or razor knife. Never fails. But must agree with @Xraycer . You definitely want to clean it out. No matter how small or big. Especially when wrenching on RC. With all the dirt and grim that builts up on them. little peroxide or my go too 70-90% rubbing alcohol. It might burn but that just means its working haha.. keep in wrenching 👍👍

First off... how do you install RC tires with an allen wrench? And second... what were you doing just before the allen wrench went through your finger? This feat needs some kind of darwin-esque award attached to it 😉🤣😜

I was trying to get the sidewall on the edge of the rim so I can glue it. Of course my clumsy self I got ca glue on my fingers too. Next time I'll try to use some of those rubber gloves.
Maybe I should of used a flat head driver to get the sidewall on the edge.

lol to maxi pad. he needs it... so he put a allen wrench in his finger trying to get bead glued to a rim.

When I worked at a cabinet making shop, the owner was tightening a knife into the planer to cut crown moulding. The knife blade was shaped like this...

While putting everything he had on a 3/8" set screw, the wrench broke, and one of the points of the knife went an inch deep into the side of his hand. He wrapped it in duct tape and kept right on working. I took the tip of my index finger off a week prior in a jointer and had to be rushed to the hospital lol.

In all honesty TNT they serve multiple purposes. Years ago I was a pinspotter mechanic in a bowling alley and I used maxi pads laid out under each motor.
They are great oil soakeruppers.

I’m also into the survival/bushcraft hobby and there is a saying that you can fix almost everything with duct tape and paracord. I would also and zip ties and super glue to the list. Does anyone remember the old ad for duct tape? ‘Duct tape, duct tape, you can use it as a band aid.’

I've been carrying a small minimal kit of emergency first aid supplies in every pack, bag and toolbox I carry for years. Those little kits have proven useful more than a few times and I've never regretted carrying them.
