Once again i am wondering if i should stay with rc's or get out. Work seems to be picking up and there is no end in sight. Couple that with the fact that my kid is going to be born in September and i start to get the feeling this stuff is going to sit around. I have been through countless rigs but i am just sitting with a nice crawler and a crt.5 roller thats ready for brushless. I can probably get around 700 for all my stuff and maybe a little more. Kinda crazy to think i probably have spend 5-7K over the past few years on rc crap and this is all thats left. lol Anyways, what do you guys think? Stay, leave, what?

Seriously,Rolex is right. You need to keep it even if you only get to enjoy a couple times a year. I've always had to part with my stuff everytime something comes up, but even afterward I was no better off and regret a lot of it.
Unless you're really going to be strapped for cash when the little one arrives, KEEP IT!

I go with everyone on this one, you will have time to play once in awile...KEEP THEM!

Lemme put it this way... my oldest brother was into RC planes back when the planes came on strings that you whipped around your head in big circles. Rolex knows what I mean. He was going to sell off his stuff when he went into the service but decided not to and put it away for storage. I was 3. When I was 16 it got dug out of storage and given to me for a b-day and it was the freakin coolest present ever!

Even if your rigs sit for a few years, you'll always be able to bring em back out to play with. Look at how active the vintage RC scene is now. And as you know you won't get maybe even half of what you put into it if you sell.

atleast keep something i mean even i still got a few rigs sitting around

Rolex is right for sure. I got out for like 3 months thats all I could stand it haha. Got the losi crawler in the mail!

In hands down! You will be sooo happy that you have something to do when all calms down. At first you will be swamped with baby duties but that will just make your rc time feel so grate and you will need time like that! ;)Just my 2.

Maybe you guys are right. I just keep looking at them and it seems pointless to keep them in the closet. i guess i can sell off the excess and just keep a few things. i need to consolidate anyway.

Keep it all. Everybody needs some sort of vise, especially with a new baby. Little ones can get you very stressed out sometimes. You'll need something to get away and do every here and then.

I'm with the keep it crowd. Last year I sold of all but mu truggy, and guess what. I know have a LST again, and a Speed T will be ordering a 8ight buggy soon.

I would've been much cheaper had I kept the trucks last year. :)

Lessen is right...with a new baby you WILL need de-stressing time. Trust me. I have a 4 month old at home....that happens to have an older brother who is 3 and a half. It's MORE than a handful at times....but when the little one naps (and he naps a LOT) you will get your RC time in....even if it's just in the front yard.

We bring our 4 month old to the track. He loves the noise. Puts him right to sleep.

Yeah the little ones are far less sensitive to noise then you should think. If they are used to fall asleep in a little noise, they can sleep anywhere.

Keep it man! I am in the same boat. I haven't touched my RC's since February and the best I have been able to do lately is walk through the basement and look at them as I pass. I am not going to lie to you... kids will take away from the "Me" time, but you will find time to mess with things... even if it is just an hour or two. When my daughter was born last March.... I thought I was done for... but I found some time here and there. In fact I finished my last kit, the day she was born. My wife was in labor and I was glueing tires! I just wanted to get what I thought was my last chance at free time. It comes though. Case in point... I just got a chance to order a new BL motor for my Slash. This is the first part I have bought this year. Point is... you will get some free time and trust me... it will be nice to fire up those RC's when you do have time. If you get rid of them.. you will wish you hadn't when you do find a few spare hours. Just my two cents... good luck bro.

Amen man just keep the stuff you WILL regret it if you don't, i have a 10 month old daughter and she loves to sit outside with me in her bouncer or stroller and watch my revo zip by, she laughs, giggles, screams, and makes all kinds of baby noises but never cries, don't get rid of it man, it will give the baby some positive stimulation, (i dunno if it will or not but i just wanted to sound smart:p:) but in all seriousness, keep it you will eventually have time to tinker with/run them. just my :2cents:

I can see your girl at 16 standing by the side of the road making all kind of baby noises as the cars go past her. :hehe:

Either that, or she'll grow up to be a Nascar driver.

Not a bad thing at all!
