Try not to get too caught up in the BLING... Hopups are nice, but they will empty you wallet real fast.. Stay stock, and have some fun for awhile.. Hopping up your rides is truly a sickness... Trust me, I know... lol
 
one thing I've learned..d just run out and buy the coolest looking thing.. or cheapest..invest in the model that is right for u and ur style... tlk to other people..have knowledge of what u want
 
Research, research, research!

I ditto that and be prepared to have a LOAD of patience, try to remember it's supposed to be fun, and if at some point you get angry, just walk away from it for a while, and settle down before you go back at it. These engines can be extremely irritating during break-in and tuning, just be patient and get all the information you can about them.

RADIO and then servos. They will improve your driving instantly.
Radio My choice is Helios or JR, next Airtronics M11, then Futaba 3PK.
Steering servos start at $100(1/10) throtle 50-60

Yep, same here.

also remember, this is for fun don't get mad because somthing broke, its all in fun and enjoy it while you can.
