Some guys on GroovyDrift have those, and they all say it was their worst decision ever. No parts support at LHS, bad electronics (ESCs burn out and servos suck), leaky shocks, etc. IMO, get a TT01. They are the best starter drifter you can get for almost the same price as the Exceed. Your LHS will have parts for it (well, mine does. I have checked several other places and they support Tamiya also), it's easy to maintain, etc. It's weakness is tunability. This is very easy to fix, just buy some adjustable turnbuckles and you're set. I started from a TT01 and here I am with a TC4. Trust me and go with the TT01. It is the greatest introductory car to drifting.

Now if you were loaded with cash, I may change my mind and say go get a Yokomo. But Yokomo is no longer supported in the USA and you'll have to buy parts from Asia. My LHS is currently running out of Yokomo parts since Yokomo USA closed down.

So yes, a TT01 gets my vote.

okay just save up to get a tt 01. i was going to get one eventually but with the 1/16 erevo out in may, sorry thats got to be gotten first. plus I'm going to go spektrum before i get the TT 01. so now to wait a while. if anybody has one to trade for a BB chassis for a tmaxx ill trade now, but ill wait

Yeah, can't wait for the 1/16 E-Revo. That thing is gonna be sick! It's a good thing you're getting a Spektrum also.
