Well, nothing against Traxxas connectors (I actually do like 'em pretty well), but the new HOTA D6 Pro charger I got has XT60 ports, and the new battery I got also has XT60 connectors. So for ease of plug-n-play (which I'm a huge fan of) I decided to retire the Traxxas plug on the ESC and give it the XT60 plug as well. In my opinion the XT60s are a little better. Having the round contacts instead of flat gives them more surface area contact which basically means more current can be transferred at any given time. And I do like the shape of the connector as well. A quick glance and you can tell which way to plug it in. The Traxxas ones I was always double checking it was the right way. There is no mistaken the XT60s

I’m all in on XT60 too. The popularity of the XT series for drones means there’s a lot of kit available, and they’re cheap.

The XT series is what I've settled on as well for the majority of my stuff. Still run Deans on the crawlers and QS8's on the big stuff but the rest are XT's. I've yet to have any get hot and melt unlike the traxxas connectors.
