I have a Futaba R203HF High Response System receiver and after a big jump today it quit working. I use the Fail Safe feature on my 3PK. But I hooked up a fail safe to the trottle servo and when i turn on the receiver the brakes are applied, yes my radio is on, so i know there is power and the servo works, but i can't turn the wheels or give it gas, and yes the batteries are good. What could have happend?

Thanks

Did you check to make certain all servos are firmly connected to the receiver?

Have you checked to see if things work without the Failsafe in the loop?

Yes to both ?'s

I do not run with the fail safe installed, rather i use the one on the 3PK radio, when it came off the jump and i had no gas or steering.

With power applied to both rcvr and xmtr, you say the brakes will apply as if your controller failsafe is kicking in. Loss of signal right ? What shape is your antenna in ? Could it have broken, possibly close to the rcvr making it very short in length ?

This receiver is less than a gallon old, if that makes sense and gives you a time frame of how long i have had it in use. In other words the receiver and antenna are in good shape i took the receiver out and looked it over carfully and it looks good as new. The only thing i could think of is that after landing on all 4 wheels and basically slaming the chassie into the ground the receiver must have substained a bad shock from the inpack. And received internal damage. My K3 was a good 15 feet in the air, no exaggeration, and it landed on its belly pretty hard.

Maybe you damaged the crystal? Anyone you know have the same radio? Maybe you can swap crystals just to see? Or go buy a set just to make sure before replacing the receiver.

Considering the components of the rcvr are surface mount/solid state (no moving parts), you must have had one hell of a landing.
I think all of us can tell a story or two of some real hard jolt or landing, maybe even a pole or wall that refused to move. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the rcvr being damaged on impact but I would definately look at other things first. Keep things simple and look for the obvious before you go replacing rcvrs and such. Double, triple check all you connections, the batteries, hell check things that aren't even related. Let's try and turn this into a funny story that you'll be embarassed to tell. You'll get it, be patient.
