I have 2 XT2's and love them. Very durable and I go racing. Have only broken an A-arm ($10) and a steering knuckle ($20). So if you like the XT2 go for it. If you like the Monster GT, XTM is coming out with a new Monster Truck that will be awesome. It's called the Monster MT and should be out here in a few weeks. Check out

It costs the same as the Monster GT and IMO is better built with a better motor than the GT. Hope that helps.

IMO, a 1/8 buggy is what you need. I had the same problem. I love onroad because of the speed and cornering ability, so I got an onroad for my first nitro. Soon after I got it running, I wanted to take it off road. A 1/8 buggy is IMO by far the best mix of on and off road. Slap some onroad tires on it, and buggies are quite capable on road. I then bought a X-Terminator by XTM and I loved it. It was fine off road, and lots of fun onroad, and was cheap. If you are on a budget and like both off road and on road, the best thing for you is the XTM XT-2. Why? Because it is very cheap, parts are easy to find online, and are very cheap, its very durable, its engine is powerful, yet easy to tune, and it can go on or off road with decent performance.

i say off-road cause u can still take the truck on road and still take it off road
like what i did frist car hpi 3 evo then i just wanted a off truck so i got a lighing than a savage x off road more fun lol

I've been wanting the offroad i have more money now..I'm looking for a used savage maybe. monster trucks are my favorite

It would be better to save up and get what you really want. This way you will not be disappointed.

well i dont have enough for a brand new one right now. but maybe a used one in good condition.

I could'nt agree more, i have a buggy, and it spends as much time on-road as off.
