Find out WHY your motor is starting up so high. Obviously it's trying to start at full throttle. I don't htink its possible to go that fast without having throttle input. Take off your air filter and turn on your radio/reciever. If your carb is open a lot, chances are your linkage is messed up or the center point on your servo is screwed up.
Check these things. Look and see how your linkage is set up, check the idle screw (this limits how far the throttle closes), check your radio to see if the center point is making it stay at full throttle. Ultimately though, if you look over the car and work the throttle (with it not running of course) then you should be able to find out. We can only narrow it down so far
