I've decided to get another 6x6 but I'm torn on what to get. I had the TRX6 G body and ended up trading it off for a built sledge. I like the platform and am considering the TRX6 hauler. I dont see a lot of options for a 1/10 6x6 but I noticed Cross RC has a few that look pretty cool. I'm not familiar with Cross and wondered what yall thought about them. How do they compare to a TRX6? My intent is to use the 6x6 to pull different trailers and make it a recovery vehicle of sorts. Any and all opinions welcome.

I'd go with the trx-6. I have a trx-4 and it pulls a lot of weight and will do so for awhile. Be careful with Traxxas electronics. I'm slowly going away from them in my trx-4 (except their radios, I love their TQI). I'd get the trx-6 hauler since you want a towing rig.

Whatever I end up with, the factory electronics will immediately go to the parts bin. Holmes Hobbies, hobbywing, castle stuff will take their place. I'm not a fan of traxxas electronics. I sure wish Traxxas would offer rollers instead of making me buy trash can filler.

The Cross RC stuff looks pretty cool. But if it were me, I wouldn't bother with any RTR stuff.

Just some ideas is all I got.

I've never ordered anything from ali express. I've heard mixed opinions so I've never bothered with them. I'm not opposed to building one from scratch, just seems like it would be more expensive that way.

Those integy axles look very nice. Since their made to fit Axial stuff, as is the frame, wouldn't that make finding a cab and bed challenging? Unless I missed it, I don't see where Axial ever made a 6x6. I think you might be over estimating my creative abilities. I've built lots of kits but never really made something from scratch. Maybe I should give it a shot. You've got me thinking now.

Yeah, you would likely have to do some fab work to build your own. But even if you just did a half cab, to me, a 6x6 is the best platform for that, because you can leave all the mechanical awesomeness exposed.

Or you could slap together a wood bed. Or you could add a roll cage by bending some styrene tubing. It's super easy to work with. Lots and lots of options with crawlers. If I were to build one, this would be my inspiration.
