I have an Rc10 Gt and wondering what other brand rims will work on it

I want to get some street tires for my Rc10 gt, My lhs sets up a track in the parking lot and I want to do some racing . I have been looking on ebay for a good deal on mounted wheels and tires, I was just wondering what other brands will work on it, I also have some adapters for the rear for the Hex style hubs.

yah they dont have much more but i would just get some from tower they have alot of cool proline street tires for 2.2 and rims that are cool also.

yep. just about all 2.2 truck wheels will fit it. At worst you may have to use the inner camber link hole on the carriers so the wheel doesn't rub. Different Brands have different offsets, so if you are racing in ROAR legal races, make sure it meets the legal spec's for max width.

FYI: before you start having problems with throwing rear axles/bones, or if you upgrade to RPM carries, Get a set of MIP CVD's for a T4. They are a little longer than the GT axles and will stay in the diff. :hammer:

Not ALL 2.2 rims will fit. They have to be the right size. For example, the nitro rustler rims will not fit, because the axle size in the rear is different and the front bearing sizes are way different. I like the RPM rims...

Thats what I was wondering as far as the bearing and axle size which ones are the same as the Gt. I just was hoping to find a full set of street tires and rims I can just bolt on.

You need to get wheels that are made for the RC10. Losi wheels will NOT work, and as stated above rustler wheels won't work.

The ones in the link won't work. They are for a losi truck.

Thanks vbgagnon, I just thought mabe they had the same set up as the Rc10. I will keep looking for some Rc10 wheels then and look for the tires separate, thanks for saving be some money, I was tempted to buy those. That would have been very frustrating to get them and have them not work

Jesse, Tower has plenty of 2.2 wheels that will work on Associated 1/10 trucks. For the price you may want to stick with AE stock rims. You can get the white wheels and dye them any color you want. Losi Wheels will fit as long as you have 3/16 axles. Drake2 wheels wont work because they are for the new quick disconnect system. The Losi front wheels also use a spacer between the bearings and the bearings are set wider apart than the AE wheels, so you will have to get a Losi wheel spacer kit to use them. AE also has spacers that will fit in their wheels also and I recomend using them if you aren't already. They will keep the bearings from side loading and binding if you over tighten the wheels.

There are lots more to choose from in the 2.2 line of tires, so you will have to decide what will be best for you. My advice would bo to go to your local track and ask others what they are running and what works best for the track. Also if you are planning to run an "off road truck", on the road, then you will need to use heavy weight oil and stiff springs in your shocks or you will have bad body roll and it will flip often if you don't.

Thanks for clarifying this more for me as far as what will work and why thanks . I was also looking at the cheap tires you suggested to stay away with and will do that. Glad you posted that. I'm going to keep watching ebay and mabe I will get lucky and find wheel and tires, If not I will just buy them new and buy the cheap stock rims, I have seen them for like 12 bucks for all 4 on ebay lol

What kind of surface are you going to be running on? I use Imex claw dawgs (i think) and they hook up really nice on the street and concrete... However, they are a little touchy at high speed... lol

The track at my Lhs is just out on the Asphault parking lot. I also want to run it out on the street out in front of my house. I will check on the claw dawgs .

That second link I posted earlier will probably work good for you. The harder compound will allow you to drift a little also. I have a set of those on the AE 3 pc. wheels that I use to play around in parking lots and on the road in front of the house. If you plan on getting the 3pc wheels, you will have to drill the axle hole out to 3/16" for the rear wheels. they are made for T-3 and GT's with 1/4" axles but they are only 1/4" at the bearing and taper down smaller than 3/16 so they won't fit on the axles unless you drill them.
