i have a question on crystals

i have a losi xxx-nt with the stock jr xr2 radio. its an AM 75mhz radio.

the crystal which is in the back has a little yellow flap sticking out that says 85 on it. I'm not quite sure what this means. theres probably more on the actual crystal but i dont know if i should take it out.
i plan on eventually going to the track and i was thinking i might need more sets of crystals because if you only have one set and they intefere with someone else arent you kind of stuck?
is there a chart or something somewhere that shows all of the "frequencies" (i dont know if thats the word) of the crystals? there must be alot but I'm not sure.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like your channel. so when someone ask you what channel you are running you will know its 85.

No, If someone asks you what channel you're running, say Yellow.
For AM there are five channels I believe: Brown, Blue, Yellow, Red, Green.
I think the track COULD supply your crystal's but that depends from track to track.

banshee - there are two different types of TXs 27mhz and 75mhz.

For the USA - 27mhz is on its way out, and therefore uses only about seven frequencies. rather than give them actual numbers, they just color code them. For the 75mhz band, there are about 30 frequencies and rather than actually use 75.990, 75.699, ect... they just number them. if u are on 75mhz, then u coordinate your number, if u are on 27mhz, then u just use the color

oh i get it now. since i have 75 mhz then i use the number, which on my crystal says 85. so my channel is 85.
also...if i want to buy new crystals, do i have to buy JR crystals or can any crystals work in my xr2 (for example futaba crystals).

u should only buy the brand of crystals that your RX/TX is. Some will work with others, but some wont - best to be safe than sorry.
