Here we go!
Ok, I’ve been nit picking around on my 2.5 here and there. I finally decided I am going to run the Mach 2 over a 3.3 with OS carb.
Eitherway, both setups produce great power. So, my concerns are this. And, I maybe way off base here. But, I’ve read on a lot of old threads, on probably every rc forum on the internet, that many people advise you’ll need to upgrade the 2.5 driveline?
Am I missing something? Is there a part on the 2.5 driveline different then a 3.3 setup?
I’m set to totally redo this thing. I decided to put change to this thing. I tried to make this a stock one. I’m sure they are loads of fun. But, I couldn’t. I even reinstalled the 2.5 I was so momentarily confused on the issue. Yikes!!!!
Anyways, it’s getting the 3.3 tranny and gearing out to 17mm hex that’s going to run some stock revo’s. All new. I think there’s a drive cup difference but can’t remember.
Anyways, I have already upgraded some of the trucks parts with 3.3’s because it came broken and substantially damaged.
So, all that for this. Why were so many people on Internet forums saying if you upgraded your 2.5 setup to the 3.3 motor, you’d have to upgrade your drive lines?
Edumucate me fellas.
