i got wood, i also picked up some lumber lololol wood puns... love em
measured the board a little short but it still fits may need to get a few screws that are a little longer than recomended,
picked up some pre stain and some stain while i was picking it up,
started off by drawing on the board with a pencil. this way i could be sure i had sanded a layer off, if the leads gone the woods gone.
sanded it down with 80grit then again with 120 grit. applied the pre sealer, let id dry for 5-15 mins. about 8 id say then threw on the first coat of stain, now waiting the recomended 2 hours before the second coat, its currently just sitting on a table out in the yard. once its dry ill lay the blocks down and mark my screw holes and get to drilling.
board is about 20mm thick so I'm only going in 12mm with the bit. this should give me plenty of room for the scres to bite into,
using the 5/64 bit taped uo at 12mm
only waiting on M2*10mm grub screws for attaching the side rails to each other and the coupler, and she be ready to haul!!!! I'm so excited

Throw a scuba tank on there and you've got a tanker truck trailer. 🤣

mocked it all up to make sure it fits, i have one small issue, i gotta reprint a rail, i aprinted 2 short on left side, oops.
other than that we are just waiting on the grub screws for the side rails and then boltin her together, i marked the main deck holes and can drill them out once i get the rails on for measurements.
I'm going to add a few more layers of the minwax after work tomorrow, unless the grubs get here lol

we are messy lol
thats not even counting the gd cats and kittens fml

I have no excuses, our house gets messy because we are old and lazy. 🤣 The trailer is lookin' good, I'm almost as excited to see it finished as you are. :)

well one of us decided not to wait for their grub screws and just held the side rails flush and screwed them to the deck like that.... I'm not gonna point any fingers mind you.. just know ONE of us is VERY impatient.
that being said hey! the trailer is at 98% completion!!
after tightening up the suspension a little, i have enough clearance for the 1.9 tires, but the angle of this thing is brutal on the cen! my front tire is barely touching the ground while the back tire is squished almost flat!!
i think i can fit one more set of axles behind the 2 already there, but their just going to squish even flatter!
i need a coupler still, i dont want to rip the coupler from the old trailer as its like 3 inches long which will make my issue with the angle even worse!

so i decided the quickest fix was to make it a dually, i need another for the front set, when there is the wright from a truck on the deck, all tires make contact, and most of that squish is removed
20250409_014006.webp

this is with the king beetle setting right over the axles
it looks much betterer with multiple duallies anyhow

broke my e clip to hold the hitch connector together... when have i ever let a missing part stop me??? never!!! (unless that part keeps it from going, but ima try it!)
so i superglued the adapter in and ill deal with that isse when it ariszes, t this point i just have to be careful when the trailer is not ghooked up.
she pulls, steers well, its a little heavy so I'm running into an issue with my front end riding up, I'm waiting on a weight that a guy made for me, that SHOULD fix the issue, i knew it was going to happen and took steps to correct it before hand.
the bumper hung down a little low for my purposes so i let them get ripped off without it hurting my feelings lol.
still need my runing lights, but I'm not real worried about them, their a luxury item so to speak.
a new 3rd axle is on the way, then it will have 6 wheels to help with the weight,
the cen didnt seem to mind the weight of the trailer unless the bumper trapped it on something

i noticed my front set of tires barely reach the ground enough to turn, not happy with this, hoping the rear5 axles split the difference.
on uneven terrain they connect but on a level street they just hang

also this issue is MAINLY caused by the gooseneck hitch, it has to go up a little higher to reach the coupler, making the trailer lose its level and gives me a pronounced slope which is keeping the front set elevated. would a shorter neck help possibly?

The scale of the trailer seems off to me. It makes your CEN dually look tiny.
yea you're right, but its for hauling stuff not for scale lol, its for hauling chairs mainly
especially while turning lol, its 4 times the length of the truck!

did some tinkering today, think it helped, it certainly looks badass. but i need pulling capability over looks.
gotta order a new E clip as i bent mine trying to force it onto the trailer hitch lol, good times.

i got another set of the dually adapters, i forgot i had a half a set on the cen itself lol,

then i realized i am out of beadlocks!
so i hunt around and find the rims from my ecto! score! i throw them on and finally got the duallied up looking mean,

it supports weight likeits not there right now, i think she will pull VERY nicely in the grass assuming that is that my driveshafts dont snap! but thats a problem for another day.
