Just recievd the above and the manuals are for the radio and what is effectively a parts catalogue. Should their be anything else as I'm new to RC?

In terms of manuals then yeah you usually get a manual for the transmitter, and one for the car which is usually nothing more than some exploded views for helping you tear down or replace parts and a parts list. If your refering to anything outside of the manuals that varies from kit to kit.

After you break in your rig, start pin pointing 'weak' spots of the rig i.e A-Arms, steering knuckles, shock towers and bulk heads. From there, ask away here for recomends on them to get you squared away
