well since i've decided to cut this hyper loose after its rebuild and stick 2 my plan of just 1 car (er truck), i pose this question...

what would it take to 'dress down' the SUT into a storm on occasion?

i ask this b/c at the primary track i'd run at outdoors during spring/summer, i'd look at runnin some buggy. and some truck. however its mainly for club fun (i like that, y i started back into this) indoor track here only runs monsters, so winter/fall etc would see that b'g done (lil more competitive fun). so since i have a truggy, if i wanted 2 go down 2 buggy...could it be done feasibly.

yes the obvious wheels/tires and thus pullin the adaptors off. but what else?

would it make more sense 2 go buy a storm RTR and while breakin my rule on 1 car, it could serve as the buggy in spring and summer, have the fall and winter off....and otherwise be a parts car 4 the SUT anyway (since 85% of the SUT is a storm).

yeh the SUT has a 25 in it now, but whose 2 say i wouldnt do a 21 for it later after the stocker goes. besides most clubs dont mind oversized sport motors 4 buggy here anyway.

thoughts?

I don't know the exact parts or part numbers, but you would need shorter front shocks and shock tower. Also you would need shorter front suspension arms and a buggy wing/body. Along with the wheels/tires and adapters.

well i got all the parts (looked over conversion kit and did it in reverse). too much crud. guess if i'm gonna go buggy at all. the ole hyper will just need a new motor and pipe. that and a radio system.

keeping the hyper will be cheapest.

to convert as cheaply as possible you will need:

a std storm center diff to correct gear ratio.
shock towers,
front shocks (id recommend both so you can just swap for 1 setup or another)
buggy body mounts
buggy body
buggy wing setup

this will leave things like the raised center diff and offset servo tray in place, it will still function as a buggy though.
